For the past year and a half I’ve been painting figures, concentrating mostly on faces….beautiful faces…the faces of beautiful women. What fun this is! I’ve found girls in restaurants, bars, on the street, friends or friends of friends, etc. And BTW guys, I could teach you a thing or two about picking up women! In the process I’ve become a much better painter. I’ve been painting for around 15 years so it’s about time! Also….I’ve realized that all I need to say as an artist can be said in one face. And as it turns out (just as I suspected) painting the human form is the most difficult thing to paint, but also the most rewarding if you get it right!
